Kimberly Kester (Best Friends Dog Walking Pet & House Services) was recommended to us by our veterinarian. We have had her take care of our 14 year old dog Maddy several times over the past year. We planned to attend a family wedding in the States over the Thanksgiving weekend and needed a trustworthy and experienced person to care for our timid little cat, Cricket. We were indeed fortunate to be referred to Kimberly Kester. Kimberly responded promptly to my phone call and we scheduled an initial consultation in our home. My husband and I were delighted when Cricket responded warmly to Kimberly on first contact. We were also impressed by Kim’s professionally assembled booklet which outlined her services and qualifications. We left on our trip confident that Cricket would be well cared for. Having three dogs can be a handful at times, and it’s hard to know who to ask to look after them when you want to get away. We found Kimberly, with Best Friends Dog Walking Pet & House Services, to look after our family when we’re away because we know we’ll come back to find them as happy and comfortable as we left them (if not more so). We own two small dogs, one is a Papillon/shitzu and the other is a Shih Tzu…. We have tried quite a few “Pet Sitters” since we adopted our “girls”… Sophie and Angel are very friendly dogs and are very much an important part of our family. It isn’t that we have had a problem with sitters, we just thought they didn’t make the girls feel that they were important, but more of a job that they were fulfilling. That is until we found out about “Best Friends Dog Walking Pet & House Services… We picked up a business card in Grimsby at a shop on the main street and decided that we would give ‘Kim’ a call. We needed a Pet Sitter in the near future and were still looking for the right one. We found her. The girls immediately took to Kim and she was the first one to actually get down to their level on the floor and greet them. She was friendly, pleasant and very thorough in her questions and the papers we needed to fill out should we decide to have her stay with the girls. We feel that we have the right person and her love for animals is evident just talking with her…we never worry about the girls because Kim has had so much experience with dogs and knows what to do should an emergency arise. It is such a great feeling to leave our home and our kennel with Kimberly & Perry of Best Friends! We come home to a clean and organized kennel, and all the dogs are well cared for, clean, groomed and happy. We are certain that they had a very enjoyable week. We appreciate all the little notes they write every time they visit. It’s great to read when we get home, and it’s also such a good feeling knowing that although we were gone we didn’t miss out on the dogs day to day activities. It is also very reassuring to know that we can count on them to just step in and improvise as needed when things don’t go as planned without interrupting our vacation! Having a large kennel with sometimes 8+ dogs and occasionally litters of puppies to care for Kimberly and Perry are amazing.
